Breakfast weeding
We both sat down to breakfast outside, in the shade of a big birch tree. One of us has problems just sitting down and as soon as a seeding lupin head is spotted it has to go!
Before breakfast we’d drank the morning cuppa, picked a pile of elderberry flowers, and been for a lovely swim in our usual lake.
By the time breakfast was done it was getting very warm in the sun so I stayed indoors and worked with the brewing beer that seems to have finished its fermentation. It is now sitting in a plastic keg for its second fermentation. I’ve saved the yeast to use with a couple of ancient beer kits that I’ll start in the next few days.
Once it was a little cooler I chopped some branches from trees overhanging and brushing the roof of our hut, and removed a big dead branch that was over our parking place.
It’s been another lovely hot sunny day and it feels we used it well.
