iPad says ornamental onion

the shape of these alliums continues to look good long after the colour has disappeared. 

A perfect day of weather allowing work in the garden and on the cat shed with a few people popping in, always just at the right time, as in coffee this morning and later on this afternoon for cup of tea.  Just as we finished most of the jobs outside friends arrived bearing gifts from the sea and luckily they had time to stay for  a glass of wine, olives and cheese.  A welcome break with fast moving chat as we sat in the evening sunshine. 
I do like spontaneous get togethers, a relaxing hour.
