Anemone

According to the RHS Good Plant Guide the anemone is, "An upright, woody-based, late-flowering border perennial that spreads by shoots growing from the roots."

According to me, it is a great addition to the garden because it is late-flowering and because the flowers are very attractive when they are open during the day. However they are also very attractive when they close over in the evening as they almost look shy as they drop their heads and close over their petals.
