Full Day
I took my step daughter Helena for brunch at our favorite morning restaurant, The Birch Door. Then we drove up to Greenachers where Arvin is buried. Neither of us had been in quite a while. It took us awhile to find the green burial area where he is. We found the spot quite full of growing things. We stayed and talked and placed rocks on his stone before driving home.
In the evening Shelly and I picked up Stu and Judy for another Festival concert. That’s Stu in one of his cool T-shirts. Michael Palmer conducted. The soloists were from the orchestra. They played Mozart’s flute and harp concerto. As usual it was a fabulous performance. I’ve known the flutist since the first year of the festival in 1993. She’s one of the few musicians who have played every year since it began.
