A good scratch

Had a visit from a young fox this morning - he just strolled about the place, not seemingly bothered by our presence at all. Unfortunately he had his eyes shut in the only photo I got of him facing me - but at least you can admire his lovely coat in this one of him having a good scratch. 

Picked the first small handful of french beans (off the dwarf variety). More courgettes. The squash plant is sending out runners in all directions.

Met up with Ford at the Vaults in the evening for a meal and a dram. He's been having a torrid time of it marking assignments and exams - the latter complicated by some of the students having used AI to assist them.... Had a good blether and finished with a pint in the Carriers.
