Holly

I don’t feel like I’ve seen so many Holly Blues this year, so it was nice when this one presented itself in front of me in the wildlife meadow in the park. There also seemed to have been a fresh emergence of Speckled Wood, with around a dozen where I would usually only see two or three.  

I also noticed that the park staff have got their leaf blower out already, to keep the paths clear. It's the middle of July!
