Brambles
Prompted by other people’s blips of their blackberries, I nipped out into the garden to take a picture of ours, just ahead of a thundery rain shower.
As others have commented, they are certainly earlier than usual. I was reminded of Seamus Heaney’s poem, Blackberry Picking:
Late August, given heavy rain and sun,
For a full week, the blackberries would ripen.
