AN APPLE A DAY......

........keeps the Doctor away.

A good QiGong session with Mrs Gladders this morning, much needed and appreciated.  Then my Doctor called, just a medication review, so all is good (fingers crossed as always)!!

Sunny to start with this morning but now grey with the occasional drizzle but pleasantly warm at 20C, that is lovely.

These apples are from our back garden, Hubby has other ones up at his allotment.  They're looking good, but not quite ready to pick yet.

AN APPLE A DAY ETC
Apparently the original proverb was "Eat an apple on going to bed, and you'll keep the doctor from earning his bread".  This was first recorded in Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1866.

The modern saying and one most of us know is "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is a shortened version  became popular in the 20th century.

The saying is supposed to imply that eating healthy foods, like apples, can help maintain good health and reduce the need for medical attention.  Which I guess is like our version of saying "Have 5 A Day"!!!

That's all from me for today, pleasendo take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
