Mold

MONDAY

An early start with a drive over to Mold for an 8:30 dental appointment.
Last week, I chipped a bridge while eating a pistachio nut. Thankfully, the dentist confirmed it was only a minor chip and hadn’t compromised the integrity of the bridge. A quick five-minute examination, some reassurance, and £82 for the privilege.

The town centre was busy, with cattle trucks and trailers arriving for the livestock market which is next door to the town's bus station.

After returning home,I headed over to Prestatyn. By late morning, the blue skies had given way to heavy, grey clouds, though it remained warm and humid. I took a walk along the promenade and beach -  a cable-laying vessel was passing just offshore (see extra).

Back home for lunch, then out again to the bowling club for some much-needed practice ahead of tomorrow’s match. The green was tinder-dry, and the bowls ran like greased lightning.

Heavy rain showers arrived in the evening.
