Feeding Time at the Lake

Earlier in the week my morning walk took me past Killingworth Lake, where I noticed that one of the pairs of coots had successfully hatched a couple of chicks recently - but they were at a distance and I only had my phone with me as a camera.  We love the quaint appearance of coot chicks, so when my Editor and I went for a stroll this morning I took all my camera gear and was lucky to get a few shots of a parent feeding one of them. Even with my 300mm lens and 2x converter (ie full frame equivalent 1200mm) I still had to crop the photo but I do like the expressions on their faces!
