And now for something completely different…

I’ve got a need to use colour in my next project (when I’ve finished the black & white village book).  The colour one might not be hand made - they do take a long time.  Having said that it might be that water lilies would lend themselves to an explosion book.

There was one white lily flowering in the Wortley Hall pond today and I had a lovely chat with the young gardener who was telling me they planted quite a few in the pond that had, in the past, been eaten by the ducks. So I hope they have better luck with these new ones.

From a photographic point of view I expected this image to be a total failure as the camera had somehow reverted to the 9 image overlay mode and I just clicked away till it went through the cycle.  This was the Raw file that I was able to manipulate and I thought it to be much the most interesting image.
