Small and Red

Yes the small red Damselfly is very small and there were less than a handful around on the stream down in Hampshire.

The female has three colour forms this is typica.

 It was hot down there and cloudy. Hubs had Milllie on her lead and this is our first expedition all together. In unfamiliar surroundings she is quite timid but had in a dog friendly hotel been spoilt rotten with bowls of food, a new rope toy and treats for the expeditions. She has been brilliant.

We have had a gorgeous dinner in the restaurant  and I'm feeling a tad more happy with life.
