Perfectly calm

Early start for a blissful morning swim. We were the only ones in (although we spotted tell-tale footprints) and the tide was racing out so we had to power to make our way past 3 or more boats. Chatting quietly we turned and 'sailed' speedily back.  MLaM had a superskill of floating motionless ... something that I need to work on.

We sat on the wall, drinking tea for some while; birdwatching, chatting, planning our Saturday parkrun, enjoying the peace ... a few curious raindrops kept us guessing for a bit. A perfect start to the day.

Home for breakfast in the garden and it wasn't long before I spotted a job that needed doing. The June Berry now has a haircut.

Lunch time and a message from B. We met in Maldon Coffee for a toasted sandwich and a catch-up;  news of her Rhein cruise.

Then home to wait for updates from G. A patient wait 'till 5.30 pm. Then the news that I had been looking forward to ... he had the OK to come home. A tiring journey to return him home but both greatful for the team of staff and care.
