Went to Cambridge on the train to visit A and A. The weather forecast was for 26 degrees and no rain so I left home in a linen dress and sandals. It started to drizzle with rain as i was walking to the bus stop and by the time I got there it was raining properly. I did have an umbrella but by the time I got it out the damage was done!
The journey was uneventful and A picked me up from the station. We had a delicious lunch and catch- up sitting outside in their garden- a few spots of rain appeared at some point but nothing to get us back inside. A took me back to the station for the 5.30 train. They use Cambridge North which is a very new station and feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere. Apparently all the land around it is earmarked for development as part of the plans for massive growth of the tech industry .
