First

... another first. That is three this week, the first hip jab, the first sweet pea and today the first desire to make any art at all since April and my exhibition. It has been a long time coming!!  I deadheaded my little rose and was rather taken by their spent heads and beginnings of hips (different hip!) so out came the drawing paper and my observation was put to the test. Not an easy subject but lovely just to engage with it as I had a short sit down this morning. 
The forecast is for thunder this afternoon so have managed to wash and hang out my daughters duvet cover to try and get it sort of dry before the end of the weekend! The humidity is huge again today so I am not expecting much drying to be fair. 
Jasper stayed out till gone 10pm last evening and had me a little worried as that was a long 7 hour walk she went on. She returns covered in grass seed and sticky willy seeds which she then requests I remove (along with great tufts of hair!!)  She normally doesn't allow you to touch her tummy but likes us to remove the burrs in there (followed by a treat (dreamies the favourite) of course.. or several)
