The Wind Came Up...

and blew away the heat! It was like magic. Hot hot hot all day and then....? Delicious coolness.  Turn off the AC...Open the windows....Go to the lake! 

Others did the same..Lots of smiles on those folks hanging out on the wharf, strolling along the promenade, and lounging at the picnic tables. There were fewer people than I expected, but then, the sudden switch in temperature had just happened. As I was leaving, cars were lined up to get into the parking lot. I guess they lived further away?

What a relief it is to be able to go outside and not melt. 

PS: trouble at the cottage...my sister who is there alone called to say that there is no water and she is going home! Seems something happened to the water pump? Who knows...? I anxiously await news.
