Le Rochers des Fiz

A solo outing today, too hot for the rest of the team, I'm a little pink tonight but achingly happy. 

If you've read my book or even just listened to the recent Mountain Air Podcast then you'll know this is a significant place for me. Today I found myself heading here with little conscious thought. 
Those cliffs are 1000m high, more in places, and they seem unbreachable. But. There is a way, a challenging route, it takes me somewhere I now associate with inner peace. I've brought many of my special people here, and each time I visit I feel them with me again.

It was good to push, to feel the gym pay off, to move fast (upwards at least) and then to sit atop the leftmost of those peaks and give thanks that I still can.
Down was less fun.
