The Survivor

This Marbled White, gorging itself on the Wild Marjoram that is taking over what was once my lawn, looks almost worn out.  I hope that means that he or she has had a lively Summer!

There is a mystery tree in our garden.  When we moved here, it was swamped by a super-vigorous Berberis, which I hacked down to size.  Although it has flowered a few times, it has never had any fruit by which we could identify it.  Until this Summer, when it is covered in delicious apricots (extra).
