It was too warm to walk a greyhound this morning.  Even before 8am the thermometer outside the north facing aspect registered mid 20°s.

After breakfast loaded the bike with books and and assorted items for charity.  Took my blip on my way.  Deposited the latter at the Scope shop and the books at the Oxfam bookshop.

Quick market shop.  There were a lot of plums to choose from small, juicy Early Rivers, Herman, greengages and a large purple plum.  I have a few of each.  A whizz round the supermarket then back home in rising temperature and humidity.

Started filling another box with books leaving another bookcase empty of books.  There are a few delicate ornaments left which require careful padding.

Spoke to bestie Anna to arrange a catch-up before our move.  That's two catch-ups next week.  One more to arrange.

We're still waiting for the bottom of the chain to get their funds.  Last Friday it was hoped the Monday just gone that it would be ready.  Today our solicitor emailed that the bottom  of the chain still wasn't ready.

The forecast is for rain and thunder this evening.  The last similar forecast didn't materialise.  Cooling down is definitely necessary.

Pleasant evening everyone.
