For the family

Looking for something moist

The hanging baskets are so dry but this little soul was quite lively.

The key thing today was the car service and MOT. We have a super local company which collects the car and returns it when done. All very efficient and friendly.

We only have one car these days as it’s all we need. The one we have is my car, bought in 2012 before I retired. The plan was to keep it for me to run around in, as the accumulated mileage would be low. We didn’t plan to move here, but when we did we didn’t need a second car, so we passed B’s car over to R as usual and we just share mine.

It got a good report and will keep going for a good while longer.

Whilst we were at home we got on with the garden. I’ve emptied my potato tubs as the foliage had died off. I haven’t managed to keep them well enough watered. Harvesting spuds in July is a new one on me. There is a small but perfectly formed crop, but they won’t last that long. (In extras)

It has been warm today, getting warmer by the hour, no rain yet.

Now watching the TV, First Night of the Proms 2025
