Västeras and Sala

Steinbock_Travels Day 22
We tried to get going as early as possible, as we wanted to have a look at Västeras and go to Sala Silver mine museum. Västeras had some really lovely parts, along the River these old wooden buildings. Like most Swedish towns, there are quite a few modern ugly buildings on the shopping street.
We carried on to Sala, where we could go into the old silver mine, and meet “the workers” as we descended deep down the steps into the Christina shaft, and found out at each level some interesting information from working down there in the 1600’s.
After this, I found a good Stellplats for the night on the edge of the park in Sala. After dinner, we had another pretty long walk into the town, some very pretty parts around the lake / river, some nice old buildings in the town too, but very quiet.
