Lerwick shoreline

A quick shot of a couple of poppies as we had a walk into Lerwick from our overnight hotel first thing this morning. Then a taxi back to the airport again where had we spent most of yesterday, not surprisingly we recognised a lot of faces that we had spent hours waiting with yesterday! The planes were able to land today, just a little bit delayed and slowly but surely the backlog got dispersed to Glasgow then Aberdeen then us to Inverness via Kirkwall. Each flight was completely full with everyone taking whatever they could get. A girl sitting next to us was flying to Aberdeen then getting a taxi to Edinburgh, another couple were on the flight to Inverness then on to Stornaway, we too went to Inverness via Kirkwall then a taxi to Glasgow airport. Our driver was exceptionally good and we had a relaxed drive down the 182 miles to pick up our car from Glasgow Airport. He was then going to have a break and drive back to Inverness! We got home at 9pm.
