Mallards en Masse

Mallards - including some drakes in their summer 'eclipse' plumage - congregate on the River Thames just upstream of Wallingford Bridge at 15:53 this afternoon. Seen during a visit to Mrs Catspaw's parents nearby.

Today's 'Extra' shows a familiar landmark on our way home to Sussex: the Scots Pines beside the B4009 at Little Stoke on the way to Goring.
