A bunch of clowns without…

… a sense of humor: that’s the best way yet to define the entire MAGA movement and the entire cast of characters that make up the current regime.

Oh they may like pie in the face scenarios; a bunch of brown skinned immigrants running from masked and armed ICE agents; taking away benefits from their own base (but only after next year’s elections); they find themselves so clever when they dole out a one-day sentence (with time served) for the cop who killed an innocent woman in a ‘no knock’ operation or when they dismantle policies that were put into place to ensure police accountability. Sooooo much fun, right?

But don’t try to make fun of them: their ability to accept sarcasm or even irony is skin-deep and they get terribly rattled — and then vengeful — when they become a target. And they have the gall of calling us liberals ‘sensitive flakes.’ Journalists and cartoonists have been fired from mainstream media (MSM) whose heads are so far up Dear Leader’s dark place where the sun don’t shine that they may never come out again. And now, one of the few remaining late night comedy hosts (Colbert) has been cancelled by CBS which needs Dear Leader’s assent for a merger. “It’s strictly a financial decision” say the sycophants but the fact is that Colbert has been openly critical of the regime. In my book, there is no sin worse than not being able to take a joke, esp a clever one, except perhaps being the butt of a joke and not even realizing it ;)

Most of the people who’ve been fired or left have taken refuge on the blogosphere and are developing quite a following. Still, this is yet another erosion of the democratic system…
