Finally!
We were off for another test run this morning.
The waters were a bit choppy when we left, we both got a little wet, but happy to report that all went well with the boat and it was an easy fix.
We were going to turn around, but I suggested we anchor by a cove inside Port Jefferson harbor where the waters should be calmer. We stayed there for a couple of hours. While my husband fished ( didn’t catch anything) I read a book and watched the ferries go back and forth. When we left the waters were a little calmer. The egret was in the harbor by the dock when we returned.
This morning I got a text from my sister telling me that her husband was brought to the hospital because he went into the severest case of anaphylaxis shock after getting stung by wasps. My 15 yr old nephew called 911 when his dad said “ I don’t feel good, call mom” and then sees that his father passed out. The EMT’s gave him 2 epipens and Benadryl and when they got to the ER he was still not responding. Thankfully he is much better now and will be home tomorrow.
