The First Tomato

If you’ve ever grown tomatoes, or even vegetables, you know how precious the first ripe morsel is. This morning the cherry tomatoes yielded the first hint of the bounty that is to come. It’s hard to remember just how prolific a tomato vine, or cucumber or zucchini plant can be. But this morning I got to savor the very first cherry tomato of the season. Pure joy!
