Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper are one of the most numerous butterflies around at the moment. One of my counts this week had 40+ in a single meadow.

Later, after a busy day marking, I headed down to Hullabaloo in Shipley to see Canadian country-folk singer-songwriter Rebekah Hawker perform. This was only her second UK performance, and apparently the only one on this visit, so it seemed a shame that there were only about 30-40 people in the room to hear her. Everyone else missed a treat
