If you don’t like spiders, maybe avoid
Martin and I had lunch today with our pals, Emma and Phill at the Gallery of Modern Art One on Belford Road.
We had a nice lunch at the cafe, although, we were lucky to get a table and the cafe processes are a bit slow, even though it’s self service. Although, it could be because it was raining heavily, so everyone was staying inside.
We then had a wander round and I have to say that a lot of the exhibits are quite pompous, including an exhibit of a man in a Marilyn Munro wig passport sized photo surrounded by a big white frame … I ask you …
The giant spider blipped here, is an exception, in that it’s a well made and artistic artwork called ‘Spider’ (not unsurprisingly) by Louise Bourgeois (1911- 2010).
We left Emma and Phill after a while, as they were staying in town before going for a meal followed by a Jazz Festival event.
Back home now and it’s stopped raining.
I hope you are enjoying Saturday.
