Great Village Show

Well that's it. All over for another year. Well until next month anyway when we start to plan next year's!
I won 1st prize for my marmalade, 2nd for rhubarb and 2 x 3rd places for photos. Not too bad. I was especially pleased with the marmalade as when I made it I thought it was the best batch I've ever made. 
The rest of the committee and helpers are still at the village hall, tidying and cleaning up but after the last couple of weeks I've had I felt really weary and have come home. 
I still need to count all the takings though in 3 separate cash boxes, ready to bank. 
These were the winners of the "kitchen garden produce in a trug". They all looked beautiful to me. 
Prizes are presented each year by a different Guest of Honour and this year it was our village postie. I think he really enjoyed it.
