An Early Visitor

We were just getting ready to go to clean the lodge. Cameras were packed for photos of wild flowers in the garden. Then, the red squirrel came visiting.

We picked up alternative cameras and took shots. After we'd both got some, I went and gently opened the front door and poked the lens out. Oh, what a noisy burst ! He looked at me and continued eating a hazelnut. I stayed taking shots as long as he was prepared to. We are assuming it is the same male we have seen previously.

Lodge cleaning went very nicely.
