Playing At Nannie's
The rain that was forecast came this morning and it came pouring down. Debbie, Little Man's grandmother, collected us from Horsham so that we weren't soaked walking to the station.
We then spent the day in Maidenbower, with Little Man's paternal auntie and her husband, with their son, Eren, who turned 1 on Monday. It was our first time meeting them in over two years and the first time since Little Man's dad and I decided to separate. There was no awkwardness. There was no awkwardness with Little Man's dad either, given we barely spoke, except about Little Man.
We also went to the park, this afternoon, as the rain had stopped and the sun had come out. Little Man had a lovely time playing and bonding with his daddy. I was relieved that my ex-husband was making an effort to connect with our son and was letting Little Man dictate the pace of their interaction.
We then came home earlier than we have done over the last few days. It meant that I could have a quick catch up with my brother, Caleb, and my mum. Little Man had a bath and has gone to bed without a fuss.
