Holly Blue #13
It's been a very drizzly day which didn't really help with our launch of the Big Butterfly Count at the Butterfly House this morning.
But we had free cakes from the cafe in the park, Butterfly crafts for kids with Georgina and plenty to free butterfly count sheets to give away to encourage people to take part at home. The count runs until 10th August in the UK and if you are interested in taking part in this citizen science project, click here to visit the Butterfly Conservation website.
Once home in the afternoon, it was a tad drier so I did some harvesting of produce from my veg patch - lettuce, radish and tomatoes.
Then I did a load of deadheading around the borders and photographed my 13th butterfly for the year. I'll try and find something different for tomorrow, primarily as I'm going birding with my neighbour, but if there aren't any birds around it might be another butterfly lol.
