Life is a Challenge!

WHAT A GREAT DAY WE'VE HAD!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You will never guess where we have been today!  When we saw Mrs. HCB putting foodie things into the coolbox, we guessed that they were going out somewhere and then we heard her and Mr. HCB chatting about the weather - how boring!

Anyway, it was raining this morning and only 16C so quite chilly after the lovely warm weather of the last few weeks - BUT that didn't deter them.  So we all got in the car and drove off to a place called Clanfield to join in with the Gorse Hill Baptist Church weekend.  Mr. & Mrs. HCB are not "happy campers" so decided to go just for the day and that suited us very well - because we aren't that keen on camping either.  However, many in their Church do go camping and you should have seen all the tents and there were even some caravans and folding campers.  They must be a very hardened lot at GHBC!

We heard Mr. & Mrs. HCB saying they would be sharing food with Mei, Matt and Zach - and you will probably remember him, because he is the little boy who comes to play with us sometimes.  His Grandma was there too - she has come all the way from Hong Kong to visit them, so it was good to meet her.

There was an hour of games and they played GHBC Bingo, when they had to find out things about people, so that meant talking to them all - and we thought it was a great way of getting to know one another.  There were lots of questions like “Are you frightened of spiders?” and “Do you have an allergy?”  There was also a question about whether people could do a cartwheel - well, can you imagine either of the HCBs doing one of those - now that would be silly and we are sure that this question would have been Admirer laugh!

Soon after the games, Matt started the barbeque so he and Mr. HCB were chatting - it’s a man thing, so we understand, but we just left them to it.  Then we all had a good meal together although some of the dogs in our Silly Saturday Gang were a bit worried when Mei asked Mr. HCB if he would like a “hot dog”!  We certainly didn’t want to be put on the barbeque!  That would be VERY silly!

After we had finished eating, Zach wanted to get us out to play with him, so we all piled on top of him and then put the packets of biscuits that Mrs. HCB had brought on top of us.  We even had two new members for the day - a large bear called Matty and a little one called Peepo and they had even made a sign that said “Hello Maureen”, which was really kind of them, so we were rather a large gang today - and in the middle of us all is Zach!

In the afternoon, there was a HUGE BAKE OFF display of the most AMAZING cakes and we were spoilt for choice, so we ended up having lots of cake - and they were all DELICIOUS!  We wish this happened every week, but Mrs. HCB said it was a good job it didn’t, because she would put on all the weight she has lost!! Ha ha!

After that, there were more games, but they were quite strenuous, so we just sat and watched with Mr. and Mrs. HCB and several others, who didn't feel like being too energetic.  We understand there was also a water fight and some of us got a little damp!

We were telling Zach a story and said that we always finished our Saturday journal by telling everyone to BE KIND, so we reminded Zach and our two visiting bears that we should always BE KIND to everyone we meet because we never know what they are going through and it might just make their day!

Love to you all from the Silly Saturday Gang + 2 xxx

P.S.  We forgot to say that where we all went was quite near to Fairford, where they have the Royal International Air Tattoo - it was quite cloudy at times, but we did see and hear lots of loud aeroplanes and we also saw the Red Arrows - Mrs. HCB has put an extra in to show them and according to Mr. Google, he tells us this: “In a historic first, the Royal Air Force’s E-7 Wedgetail AEW Mk1 performed its first ever flypast with the iconic Red Arrows aerobatic display team, at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) in Fairford, Gloucester.”  If you want to know more, have a look HERE.  The bonus was that we all got to see the planes FOR FREE!
