Hiking in Happy Jack
Today I decided to hike to my favorite Aspen grove. It is still so lush in the valleys at HJ. The ground was damp so it must have gotten rain last night. The wildflowers are still amazing. HJ is a lower elevation than the Snowies so different varieties of flowers. I was particularly taken with the Monk's Hood (the upper left) and the Sego Lilies (lower left). The lilies were everywhere. The top right was a new to me flower, Bog Evergreen. And one enormous fungus was spotted :-)
A fabulous morning and I've just puttered with chores this afternoon. I'll be going to a small concert at a local gallery tonight. I'm looking forward to more music.
