50 not out

We were at friends today to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary earlier in the year. Today’s event was ahead of their grandson’s first birthday tomorrow. So lots of family in town, and friends and former colleagues.

Despite the heavy rain which prevented us from enjoying the garden we had a lovely time. One of their long-standing friends had made the 50 sign and statuettes out of egg boxes, PVA glue and gold paint. Very impressive.
