Family gathering

Today we met Tomoko’s parents who are over on from Japan for the wedding. We all met at a local hotel for afternoon tea, including Adam’s 99 year old grandma who lives close by. The gathering was really for her to celebrate the wedding as she won’t be joining us in London next week, but it was also a chance for us all to meet Kumiko and Teruyoshi for the first time. A lovely occasion, albeit a little tricky on the language front, as they only speak very little English and we don’t have very much Japanese between us. Poor Tomoko had to do a lot of translating which she’s finding very tiring!
