To make some honey just for me

My lavender is coming into it's own this week.    

I got up early ish for a Saturday and whilst Si pottered, I went out and weeded the Alium area of the front bed and shifted some Comos into the bed.    I sat for quite some time just listening to the bees, there were loads of them. 

I want to say hundreds, but that's not the case, there are only 8 Lavender plants, and despite the fact that when I bought them two years ago they were £0.50 and classed as dead, they have been joyous this year, but insufficient to accumulate 100's of bees. 

Maybe 30 or 40, and 4 butterflies. 

We took ourselves up to the allotment and I planted the rest of our Leeks (about 96 of them) , while Si attended a Committee meeting. Yawn. 

I had company - two little white butterflies, and one painted lady, who from time to time rested on me, and when not on me, crawling all over the leek bed.  I think it was perhaps the chicken pellets which were attracting her. 

This afternoon Si had an opticians appointment and he came out... san glasses,   He's gone back to contacts, and now I can snog him without scratching my face on his specs :D  Win All Rond. 

I was exhausted when we got home at 430 and I had to take myself to bed.   I was still exhausted when I woke at 6 but forced myself up, so that I could sleep later.
