Number147

Sunday

It rained overnight.

I filled all my watering cans before I went to bed and the butts are brimming this morning.

We've been for a hot walk and picked a lot of blackberries. There are pockets of an early, massive variety that look like they'd be sold in Waitrose.

On the way home we stopped at Nigel's house and came away with cucumbers, cucumelons (sp) and apples. The apples are a heritage local variety.

Jo B then delivered figs as she has an abundance. I passed on some cucumbers!

My afternoon is sorted; lots of fruit to cook and prep for freezing.
