Hay
Jussi windrowing the first field with our big rake. He had already done a few for his employer after their rake broke (it's not just ours that keeps breaking!). In the extra the field being baled a few hours later.
In the morning we tried to replace the belt of the old rake, but I had misread the markings on the old one, so the new belt was too short and I had to reinstall the old one. I tried to rake some grass that has a lot of clover, but it was impossible with the belt slipping. Also a nasty surprise to see that two new tines were bent so quickly. The thick clover seems to be really destructive to the rake!
Later I mounted the wuffler for the first time this week to rake edges of some fields and the little field I tried to bale on Monday before trying again. It worked well, but I thought it wouldn't be a good idea to try tedding the other fields any more.
Instead, I tried the baler again, but another shear bolt broke. I tried to adjust another part that I had not tried before, but it didn't help. Neither did a DIY improvement to the adjustment I tried earlier, so we are not getting any small bales this time.
