Making friends....
.... at Drummond Castle Gardens. While I'd prefer the owner wasn't an absentee landlady, the gardens are still mightily impressive. We were here a year ago and figured my mum might like the visit. On which it appears we were right.
I was shooting my old Yashica 635 and had a lovely German tourist asking if he could take a photo of me taking a photo, before asking all about the camera. Only thought afterwards I should really have asked to take his portrait, and got his email address.
Ah well, can't guarantee the results as I'm testing the 35mm adapter that the camera came with - I'm not sure I see the point, over 120 film, other than being able to take 36 shots. The framing is portrait (not in itself an issue, I'm used to that with my little Olympus Pen half-frame, but the guidelines on the focussing screen just make you realise how much image you're missing out on, and the slow, reversed, lining up is more difficult in the smaller patch).
If it does work, it's complete, and in its original Yashica leather pouch, so I might sell the adapter kit, and stick to 120 in the future....
