Playing in the studio

Last time I ordered from the art supply shop, I added a free sample of a Derwent Graphitint pencil (they let you add a couple of different samples per order). I don’t think I was expecting this to be a full size pencil but it’s great that it was. Today was the first time I had a proper play with it… and I quite like the effect.

John’s cousin popped round for a brew this morning, and a couple of friends this afternoon. So quite a sociable Sunday. I also managed to get to the pool (and swim 26 lengths, so I’m building up slowly but steadily). The small children’s pool is closing tomorrow for 6 weeks maintenance (just as the schools are off?) so there’s going to be less opportunity for swimming as all the swimming classes are moving into the main pool.
