Marconi Brass In Scarlet, Brenchley Gardens

It was our usual Sunday shenanigans as regards food shopping but when we reached The Horseshoes for our obligatory pint we were horrified to discover that it was closed due to "unforeseen circumstances" so we had to head towards one of our "during the week" pubs instead, The Pippin. Luckily, we arrived early enough to avoid the rush and managed to partake of a pint of Madri each so all, in the end, was alright with the world. The weather, on the other hand, was a bit rubbish, overcast with some squally showers so we headed home to put away the shopping with no intention of heading out again. It was then that I remembered that today was the start of the Bandstand Concert series in Brenchley Gardens in town (it runs every Sunday at 3 p.m. for the next two months) so me and my brother made the pact that if the weather improved we would head in and try and capture the first one which featured Marconi Brass. Half an hour before it kicked off the cloud cover cleared and the sun popped out so off we went.
We arrived after the concert started so I only managed to get this one image I really liked. The concerts are run by Maidstone Borough Council (who I've mentioned in previous blips) and if this one is anything to go by they are all going to be great. The music was fantastic but next time we want to get there earlier so we can capture the set up as well.
