These pelargoniums were planted in an old watering can last year, and have decided to show their faces again this year. I love it when that happens.

Smithers and I are enjoying some peace and quiet at the moment. The Traveller and his girlfriend have temporarily moved to our middle son’s home to look after their elderly cat while they’re away in the Lakes. It’s an excellent arrangement – everyone is pleased, especially the holidaymakers, who are being sent regular photos of their much-loved Watson being thoroughly spoiled in their absence.

Smithers also made me happy today because he baked a couple of banana cakes. I've just sampled a slice of one, and can confirm it was delicious.
