Unravelling

The day was not quite as expected.

There was a knock on the door early in the day and it was a neighbour telling me that the drive was blocked by a tree. The tree in the corner of the garden and the one behind this sunflower, had split and a significant portion was lying in the drive. No one could access the houses.

I called Nigel and my son started cutting up the tree.

We were due to meet a friend at a dog friendly field but we needed to finish clearing the drive. Once the drive was cleared we were able to meet her and her nephew for Sunday lunch. It was delicious.

This sunflower is the tallest one and it’s just starting to flower.
