Soft Play Sunday

What with more rain, we decided to take the little ones to a big soft play centre today, it even had a 'tiny town' role-play area, so they got to work at the building site, before moving on to the fire station and café. They really are multi-skilled these days...

It was absolutely packed, as I think a lot of parents had the same idea. Poor LMB was a bit overwhelmed by the noise and crowdedness in there, but luckily we were armed with ear defenders (I wish I'd had a pair for myself to be honest, haha). After a bit of a wobble, we braved through it and ended up having a fun time as did TYM.

When we got home, a huge thunderstorm started and we had lots of joy running from window to window to try and spot the lightening bolts! Our power went out briefly which only added to the squeals of excitement! Who needs TV when you've got thunder?

We also had a nice reply from the Tooth Fairy today... LMB had lots of tears saying she'd rather keep her tooth than have money. So she wrote a little note asking the 'toof fairy' if it would be okay. Luckily, she obliged and she's kept her 'most precious ' tooth (she'd chipped it slightly, so it was special). She later asked if she could write the tooth fairy a letter asking her to bring her Granny back to life... God bless her, I said I really, really wish there was a fairy who could do that but there isn't... We both had a little cry and agreed tooth fairies only work with tooth magic.

Mum would've been in tears herself at her sweetness. TYM often asks for Granny's poems at bedtime and says he misses Granny. I'm so glad they got to meet her, but oh how angry I feel that they've suffered such heartbreak so young. They deserved her for so much longer.
