The new Frontispiece
Well we've had a ridiculously social couple of days (for us) and I've taken many a photo but most of them involving a small child and so no good for blipping.
A lovely dinner at Sanskruti Indian restaurant with my colleague B and her husband S. The daal and makhonwalla were amazing, the aubergine dish smokey buy a little eye watering on the chillis.
The Bo had yet another impromptu sleepover at a mate's last night so we got up and headed to Wezza for coffee, thinking we would pick him up on the way back, but oh no, he had plans to go the gym. So we left some marrows on the step of the bookshop for D and J who run it, took a quick blip of the new shop frontispiece and came back home, where we peeled and chopped several pounds of marrowy courgettes / courgettey marrows to make soup.
Then BACK to Wezza to pick up The Bo (only 2 years until he can learn to drive...deep breath) and then into Liverpool for icecream with F (nearly 1) and F's parents. It was lovely to catch up with them, and watch the epic thunderstorm from inside the ice cream parlour, plus practice my photography skills with a very wriggly subject. Both RM and I also had lovely cuddles with F - well, RM got the cuddle, I got the being used as a cushion for a sleep... which let's be honest was lovely.
Then off for dinner with P, a lovely chance to catch up and finish off the weekend's socialising with wonderful food, buckets of tea, and see L's tattoos in person... and have 2 teenagers wash up after us. Luxury!
