The Hope Bell

A memorial to all those who died during the Covid pandemic. It looks very smart in the park and it also rings out the hours and the quarter hours. A bit distracting while trying to listen to the Syston Town Band who played a very entertaining programme of music. A pity that the weather had put people off. The concert was poorly attended compared with previous weeks, and it didn't even rain while we were there. It did when we got back home.

The bells were made by the UK's sole surviving bell maker, A J Taylor Ltd who  are actually based in Loughborough.
