Red Arrows
The Red Arrows were due to fly over Brinsley, Underwood, Bagthorpe and Selston at around 2:45pm. Lu and I went to Underwood in the hope of seeing them.
Due to the bad weather it was delayed until 6pm, by which time we’d gone home.
We were waiting by the cricket pitch gates, a man came out of the Miners Welfare and said “if you’re here for the cricket match it’s been cancelled” we both said no, not here for the cricket, we didn’t say we were temporary plane spotters :)
It wasn’t a wasted journey as we both found some treasure in the charity shop at Langley Mill.
A walk later on, cut short as it started to thunder and rain. I carried Ro back home.
