A Carved Wooden Tree

I saw this beautiful carved tree in olive wood in an artisan market a couple of years ago just before Christmas. I wanted to purchase it, but after much hesitation, I didn’t. I’m at a stage in my life when I’m trying to eliminate things, declutter, instead of adding to the mass!

Somebody knew that I had loved this attractive object and I received it as a gift for Christmas!

I love the shape, the leaves, the little birds and especially the little cat.  I also see pears hanging from the branches.

I often wish that Honey could run in grass, climb trees and be free, but I’m glad that she doesn’t kill little mice or beautiful birds.
