Beauty is all around us.

Garden View.

The Feast Day of Lawrence of Brindisi. A clergyman and peacemaker. Died age 50. Circa 1619.

The week has begun very hot and close. It is 24.6c in the living room as we watch Escape to the Country.

I was busy in the morning doing washing, drying bedding and towels on the clothes line in the sunshine and tending all the indoor plants. Jasper appeared for breakfast and then disappeared.

Then unexpectedly, I noticed a poor baby blackbird sitting on the ledge of the conservatory window. The bird looked frozen in shock. It was alone and no sign of the parent blackbirds. I spoke softly to the bird and it flew to where the water butt is in the garden. Then it flew near the garden fence and on to the foot of the peach rose. Eventually there was a blackbird rescue party and alot of distress calls. The dear little bird flew out of our hedge and onto the bungalow roof at the far end of our garden, where an old man lives. So a story with a happy ending.

I hope you all have a fantastic Monday.

Thank you for visiting my site blip friends.
